Proxy Server Verification Methodology

This document describes the proxy evaluation and verification system used by ProxyLib. We disclose all testing parameters in detail so users understand how we ensure proxy quality. The described methodology helps select optimal servers for various tasks: from web scraping to secure browsing.

1. Verification System

Automated testing every 2 hours through distributed servers in 10 countries.

Evaluation Parameters:

ParameterVerification MethodQuality Criteria
IP:PortFormat validationCorrect combination
Proxy TypeSequential protocol testing:
HTTP → HTTPS → SOCKS4 → SOCKS5
Support for ≥2 protocols
AnonymityLevels:
– Elite: no headers/leaks
– Anonymous: headers present but IP hidden
– Transparent: real IP visible
Elite (no leaks)
Anonymous (partial)
Transparent (low)
GeolocationComparison with MaxMind GeoIP2
City detection via WHOIS and TTL
≤20 km margin of error
SpeedAverage response time (3 attempts):
– TCP Handshake
– HTTP GET request
≤800 ms — excellent
≥1500 ms — excluded
UptimeAvailability monitoring (7 days)≥90% — stable

2. Technical Implementation

2.1 Verification Frequency:

Each proxy is tested every 2 hours

2.2 Anonymity Levels:

  • Elite: Complete anonymity (no `X-Forwarded-For`, `Via`, `Client-IP` headers)
  • Anonymous: Client IP hidden but proxy headers present
  • Transparent: Real client IP visible

3. Accuracy Guarantees

  • Manual recheck: 5% of random proxies daily
  • Geo-data calibration: Comparison with 3 independent databases (MaxMind, IP2Location, DB-IP)
  • False-positive filter: Exclusion of CDN and VPN servers
